These Antique Maps of Charlestown, Massachusetts came from the 1912 Charlestown & East Boston Atlas by G.W. Bromley. The atlas was in fair condition - most of the wear was on the first couple of pages.
The Maps ,in the border margins, were in reasonable shape and allowed me to restore the Maps. To prepare the Maps for scanning rice paper backing were put on the Maps to prevent further damage and therefore all of the Maps have been reinforced along the center seam.
Unlike my replica Maps, prices for original Maps vary according to condition and demand. People's grading judgments varies. Being aware of the problems in grading these Maps I allow clients to return Maps within 10 days of purchase as well as provide clients with the Maps on an approval basis.
Lastly, I have provided on the first page of this series the 1912 Street index-which will allow the reader to match streets with the Map where the street is located.
